What Is Pigment Removal?

PIGMENT REMOVAL

Our pigment removal is an effective, safe and simple 3 step process that uses manual technique to remove tattoo pigment from the skin.
It removes up to 99% of all types of pigments from the skin. We use acids from natural ingredients (inclusive of rice, cocoa and wheat), so, not only do these natural acids remove pigments but also add protection to your skin from the sun.
The removal process is very safe but would still require a trusted professional. Knowledge of the pigment’s nature, the depth and the number of sessions are key to a successful pigment removal. Our method and the products used are designed specifically for permanent makeup, especially permanent brows.

If you are a New Client, any work is subject to our standard new client rates. We do not Touch Up other artists’/studios’ work because we assume the care and responsibility of your brows from this point on.
Additionally, your existing or desired shape must be aligned with your artist’s aesthetic and recommendation. For more information on the process, please refer to our Corrective/Coverup Services page.

Advantages

Our Pigment Removal is a 3-Step Solution Process. Our solutions contain acids from rice, cocoa and wheat. It can remove up to 99% of pigment but this is all dependent on how deep the pigment has been placed and how long it has been in your skin. The older the pigment, the more sessions are required to achieve a complete removal.
Step One: Extraction of Pigment (Acid components)
Step One starts off by using microneedles to penetrate the solution to the surface of the pigmented area. This initially and instantaneously lifts up some of the pigment from the skin. The lifting of pigments is highly dependent on the depth and time the pigments were placed.
Three main ingredients: Phytic and Lactic acids and Emblica. The Phytic and Lactic acids both act as magnets that attract the pigments towards the surface of the skin.
Benefits: protects your skin from sun spots, has hypoallergenic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant characteristics, and most of all great for all skin types!
Step Two: Cleansing and Neutralizing Skin (Alkaline components)
Shortly after, Step Two solution would be applied which basically helps support the elimination of pigments by lifting them up or flushing them out through your lymphatic system.
Two main ingredients: Potassium Oleate and Cocoa extract. Potassium Oleate cleanses and neutralizes the acids of Step One. It cleans the area and helps push the pigments through the lymphatic system.
Cocoa extract, on the other hand, has the following important functions: regenerating, moisturizing and nourishing the skin, firming and protective abilities, improving natural skin tone, and repairing skin cell tissues.
Step Three: Cleansing and Neutralizing Skin (Alkaline components)
IMPORTANT NOTE: Step Three is done by you!
Step Three solution will be given to you upon your check out. This step is crucial in the next 7 days to the pigment removal process. A simple step-by-step procedure will be provided to you after your appointment.
Apply a coat of Step Three to the area: Once a day at night before going to bed and rinse off in the morning for 7 days.
The main function of Step Two and Three are to support the elimination and continually extract pigments from the skin in the coming days. Step Two and Three have exactly the same ingredients.

Removal Procedure

Procedure Summary

1) Step One solution is applied on the brow using the microneedling technique.
2) Some of the pigments will lift and come up to the surface for extraction.
3) Step Two solution is applied to neutralize the area and help direct the rest of the pigments to the lymphatic system.
4) Step Three solution is applied continually at home for 7 days.

Removal Factors

  • Depth: The deeper the pigments were placed in the skin, the more sessions will be needed. (May vary from 1-9 sessions) *Note: It is important that the skin COMPLETELY regenerates first before doing a second session.

  • Age: The older the tattoo, the more difficult it would be to extract as well.

  • Color: Red pigments are the easiest to extract. Blue, gray, and white pigments are most challenging to extract

  • Redoing or Getting New Ombré Powder Brows or Microblading: It is advisable that the procedure is done after 40 days from the removal for younger skin. For older or more mature skin, wait until 10-20 days after the removal.
